RETURNS POLICY

At Tuff Trailers Ltd, we take pride in delivering high-quality, fully welded, hot-dipped galvanised trailers built to exceed New Zealand standards. We stand behind the quality of every trailer we manufacture and aim to ensure every customer is satisfied with their purchase.

This Returns Policy outlines your rights and our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

1. Change of Mind Returns
Because our trailers are manufactured to order and registered under your name at the time of sale, we cannot accept returns or cancellations due to change of mind once payment has been made or production has commenced.
Please ensure you have selected the correct trailer model and specifications before confirming your order.

2. Faulty or Defective Products
If you believe your trailer or product is faulty or defective, please contact us immediately at sales@tufftrailers.co.nz.
We may ask for details, photos, or inspection to assess the issue.
If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will, at our discretion:

Repair or replace the product; or

Offer a refund where repair or replacement is not practical.
All warranty-related claims are handled under our Warranty Terms, which provide:

5 years structural guarantee

1 year parts and labour warranty

3. Parts, Accessories & Merchandise
Parts and accessories (excluding trailers) may be returned within 7 days of delivery if:

The product is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging; and
-
You provide proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or supplied in error.
4. Delivery Damage
All trailers and parts are thoroughly inspected before dispatch.
If your trailer or product is damaged during delivery, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt by emailing sales@tufftrailers.co.nz with photos and order details.
Deliveries are completed at the customer’s risk, as stated in our Delivery Conditions, but we will assist where possible in resolving transport issues with third-party carriers.
5. Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected.
Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
6. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return or warranty claim:

Email sales@tufftrailers.co.nz with your name, contact details, and proof of purchase.

Describe the issue and include photos if possible.

Our team will respond within 3 business days with next steps or inspection details.
7. Legal Rights
This Returns Policy does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
If a product is found to be faulty or does not perform as guaranteed, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as required by law.
