Fully-Welded. Hot-Dip Galvanised. Heavy-Duty. These three things are a must if you want a reliable heavy-duty trailer that will last.
 
Let’s start with the running gear: All tuff trailers come rolling on 14-inch Hot Dip Galvanised rims (powder-coated rims will rust away in NZs conditions) with durable and long-lasting 185R/14C light truck tyres. You can rest easy knowing that the bearing setups are top-notch NZS with marine-grade nylon seals improving waterproofing, longevity and performance. Tying this all together are our 50mm solid steel axle and Our 9 Leaf 1500kg rated suspension that will have you cruising smoothly with loads that would push others beyond capacity.
 
The Chasis: Fully Welded. That’s right. No bolts holding on the mudguards or panels that inevitably come loose and shake themselves to bits. Like we said, we don’t do Light Duty “Heavy Duty”. A fully welded 50 x 50 x 2.5mm RHS structure with a 2.5mm checker plate steel folding design tray for even more strength is what we do. This gives a payload platform and structural integrity for taking loads others can only dream of.
 
The Drawbar: is 3mm Thick - it’s Tuff. 1500mm long - easy to reverse with. We use 100 x 50 x 3mm RHS.
 
The User Design: look, it’s not our first rodeo, we’ve been doing this for a long time now and we’ve improved design upon design to get where we are today. An effective tipping function is built into all single-axle trailers - secure when not in use, but easy to use when required. Tie-down rails that run around the perimeter of the trailer and are welded to fixing points with real structural integrity
 so you can crank those tie-downs up nice and tight and say “she’ll be right” actually knowing that “she” will be. Tie-down hooks down both sides externally to provide even more lashing points because the more you believe your “That's not going anywhere!” and “She’ll be right” the more she probably will be. Full-length side step gussets to increase structural integrity but hey, let’s face it they’re also handy to stand on and built to do so and if you clip a fence post on the farm it’ll provide some slide instead of stop.
